New supervisor Workshop

  • The New Supervisor Workshop is for supervisors in their first or second year of being in a supervisory position. It is designed to equip you with the skills to lead, direct and shape your team, as you also create a network of fellow supervisors for continued sharing and sustained success. To participate, you must have completed the Basic Human Resources for Supervisors course OR the 11 TWMS (Total Workforce Management Services) equivalent courses. The workshop is a full week-long session (8-hour days), plus three follow-on sessions (4-hours each).

Current Supervisor Trainings

  • Current Supervisor Training I

    The Current Supervisor Training I course is designed for current NAVFAC supervisors who have been in their supervisory position for at least one year. It provides training to support your key role in leading, directing and shaping your team. The course consists of four 4-hour training sessions addressing Leadership and Influence, Improving Self-Awareness, Communication Strategies and Conflict Resolution.

  • Current Supervisor Training II

    The Current Supervisor Training II course is designed for current NAVFAC supervisors who have been in their supervisory position more than one year, and may be taken as a stand-alone course or as a follow-on to either New Supervisor Workshop or Current Supervisor Training I.   The course consists of four 4-hour training sessions addressing Critical Thinking, Unconscious Bias and Decision Making, Crisis Management, and Aligning Diversity, Inclusion and Organizational Values.
