NORFOLK, Va. (NNS) -- The Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Atlantic has awarded a maximum amount $100 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for architectural design and engineering services for medical projects in the Naval Facilities Engineering Command area of operations worldwide to RLF and Sherlock Smith and Adams JV, Orlando, Fla.
The work to be performed provides for medical projects that are 500-series facilities as defined by UFC 2-000-05N Facility Planning Criteria for Navy/Marine Corps Shore Installations (hospitals, dental clinic, medical clinics, veterinary clinic, laboratories, etc.), and will be predominantly for military construction projects, but may include special projects for sustainment, restoration and modernization and medical studies.
Work will be performed worldwide, and is expected to be completed April 2024. Fiscal 2019 military construction contract funds in the amount of $10,000 are obligated on this award, and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. No task orders are being issued at this time. Future task orders will be primarily funded by military construction funds. This contract was competitively procured via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website, with seven proposals received.
