Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Mid-Atlantic awarded TDX Quality LLC, a small business based in Anchorage, Alaska, a $7,088,563 firm-fixed-price contract for interior and exterior repairs to bachelor enlisted quarters Building M440 at Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune.
Work will be performed in Jacksonville, North Carolina, and is expected to be completed by August 2019. Fiscal 2018 operations and maintenance (Marine Corps) contract funds in the amount of $7,088,563 are obligated on this award and will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
The work to be performed provides for the complete replacement of the architectural finishes, mechanical system, and electrical system. The roof will be replaced with a new sloped metal truss standing seam metal roof system and the building will be upgraded to conform to the current base anti-terrorism standards.
In addition, the work includes the renovation and reconfiguration of the first floor lounge into a laundry room, the construction of a new chiller yard to include a new brick enclosure, demolition of all dual temperature piping, connection of the mechanical system to the base-wide environmental monitoring control system, removal of asbestos, and incidental related work.
This contract was competitively procured via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website with nine proposals received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Mid-Atlantic, Norfolk, Virginia, is the contracting activity (N40085-18-C-6151).
