Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Mid-Atlantic awarded HCG-JCG JV, a small business based in Escondido, California, a firm-fixed-price task order N4008519F6872 for $7,075,644, under a firm-fixed-price multiple award construction contract for the renovation of space in Building 203 for the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) at Naval Support Activity Mechanicsburg.

The project will renovate existing DLA space in Building 203, Bay 1, at Naval Support Activity Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, for DLA Maritime.

This requirement includes renovating the existing unoccupied administrative offices and open warehouse space, including mechanical and electrical transformer rooms to service new administrative area.

The renovations include demolition of the existing foot print area as specified and providing upgraded and insulated exterior walls, energy efficient heating ventilation and air conditioning systems, electrical and communication raceways, electrical distribution systems, sprinklers, interior partitions, energy efficient lighting, ceiling replacement, new carpet, painting, fire alarm system and office furniture.

Work will be performed in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, and is expected to be completed by June 2020.

Fiscal 2019 Navy working capital funds in the amount of $7,075,644 are obligated on this award and will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.

This contract was competitively procured via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website with three proposals received. Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Mid-Atlantic, Norfolk, Virginia, is the contracting activity (N40085-18-D-1127).
