Virginia Beach Small Business Earns End of Fiscal Year NNSY Task Order


Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Mid-Atlantic awarded Asturian-Consigli JV, LLC, a small business in Virginia Beach, Virginia, a firm-fixed-price task order at $25,737,473 under a small business, design build/design bid build general construction multiple award construction contract for the envelope repair of Building 261 and 1539 at Norfolk Naval Shipyard.

The work to be performed provides for envelope repairs to the facility to provide a long-term solution for effective water penetration resistance.

The project also includes fire protection upgrades to the facility to comply with applicable criteria and the removal of the existing 165-ton stiff leg derrick, associated support machinery, and associated utilities.

Work will be performed in Portsmouth, Virginia, and is expected to be completed by August 2022.

Fiscal 2019 operation and maintenance (Navy) contract funds in the amount of $25,737,473 are obligated on this award and will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.

Two proposals were received for this task order. Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Mid-Atlantic, Norfolk, Virginia, is the contracting activity (N40085-18-D-1124 TO N4008519F7139).
