Mr. Booth has been a civil servant and contributing member of the Naval Facilities Engineering Command for the past 25 years.  During this timeframe he has acquired a diverse background by obtaining a wide variety of experience in many of NAVFAC's business lines, products and services. 

Recruited by the Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Chesapeake Division in 1987, Mr. Booth began his professional career as a Utilities Engineer in the Facilities Management Division.  In 1992, as part of Engineering Field Activity Chesapeake, he served as an Environmental Project Manager, Supervisor and Team Lead.  In this position he was an integral part of the $20M+ base closure and transfer effort of the former Naval Training Center Bainbridge.  In 2003 Mr. Booth was promoted into the Capital Improvements team as the Operations Director for the Washington Area.  In this capacity he was responsible for directing and managing over $200M in MILCON and Special Projects as well as coordinating Base Operating Support, Planning, Environmental and Real Estate products and services for a set of high visibility, politically charged supported commands.  

Mr. Booth was promoted and selected as the first civilian NAVFAC Washington Public Works Business Line Coordinator in June 2006. In this capacity he was responsible for directing the Public Works business for Utilities and Energy Management, Facilities Management/Sustainment, Base Support Vehicles and Equipment, and Facility Support Contracts Management and Facility Services.  With an annual volume of business of nearly $500M, he successfully integrated over 800 personnel to deliver a broad range of products and services across six Public Works Departments throughout the Washington DC and Metro area.  In December 2012, Mr. Booth was selected into his current position as Business Director and Senior Civilian.

Mr. Booth has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University.  He is professionally registered in the Commonwealth of Virginia and is a member of the Defense Acquisition Corps.  He was awarded the Meritorious Civilian Service Award in 2009.
