General Information


Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Washington manages the planning, design, and construction of shore facilities for the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, and other federal clients in the District of Columbia, Northern Virginia and Maryland. Led by Captain Andrew Hascall, Civil Engineer Corps, U.S. Navy, we manage more than $1 Billion in annual business volume.

We are a workforce of approximately 1,600 military and civilian engineers, architects, realty specialists, attorneys, contract specialists, craftsmen, support personnel and other skilled professionals. We organize, plan, coordinate and supervise all phases of base facilities maintenance, construction, operations, transportation and utilities to provide the full range of first-class facilities engineering products and services, including:

  • Facilities Maintenance

We are also home to several unique functions: White House Special Programs Office, residence support for the Vice President of the United States and the Navy Medical Facility Design Office.
