Mr. DeConti has worked with NAVFAC since 1983 and has served worldwide. He has held several positions with NAVFAC in the fields of Engineering, Construction, and Operations execution in all Business Line areas. Before NAVFAC, he worked with private sector Architect / Engineering firms in California and Virginia.
He recently departed his former position as Deputy Operations Officer for Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Mid-Atlantic., where he was leading program execution oversight for all Mid-Atlantic products and services.
Among the NAVFAC positions he has held are Design Branch Architect NAVFAC Atlantic; Assistant Resident Engineer in Charge of Construction (AREICC), ROICC Norfolk; Engineering Director and Facilities Improvement Program Manager, Public Works Center Yokosuka, Japan; Team Leader Hospital/AREICC and Deputy OICC, OICC Naples, Italy; Construction Product Line Manager (CI5) at NAVFAC Atlantic; and Deputy Operations Officer at NAVFAC Mid-Atlantic (2004-2018).
Mr. DeConti earned a B.S. in Architecture from Georgia Tech, and a B.A. in Asian Studies from University of Maryland University College, Yokosuka, Japan. He studied architecture at Ecole des Beaux Arts, Paris, France, for one year in a Georgia Tech exchange student program. Mr. DeConti is a Registered Architect in Virginia
