Commander B. Don Dasher

Commander Don Dasher was born in Atlanta, Georgia and raised in Nahunta, Georgia. After receiving a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from Georgia Tech, he attended Officer Candidate School at Naval Air Station Pensacola, Florida, and was commissioned on July 10, 1998. He holds a Masters of Civil Engineering with a Public Works Option from North Carolina State University, Raleigh, North Carolina, and a Masters of Business Administration from Webster University, St. Louis, Missouri

He reported aboard Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Hawaii at Operations Officer in May 2018.

Following Civil Engineer Corps Officer School, Dasher reported to Amphibious Construction Battalion 2 (ACB 2), Little Creek, Virginia, where he served as an Assistant Company Commander and deployed to Alexandria, Egypt, in support of Exercise Bright Star 2000. His subsequent tours include: Officer in Charge, Construction Battalion Unit 301 in Great Lakes, Illinois; Assistant Public Works Officer for “A” Schools and Barracks, Public Works Center Great Lakes, Illinois and Regional Engineer Operations Officer, Navy Region Midwest; Student at Defense Language Institute, Monterey, California; Assistant Resident Officer in Charge of Construction, Rota, Spain, Kenya country engineer for Combined Joint Task Force Horn of Africa, Djibouti; OPNAV N43 Task Force Energy Engineer and NAVFAC Manpower Officer, NAVFAC Headquarters, Washington, D.C.; Battalion Training Officer, ACB 2; Executive Officer, Officer in Charge of Construction, Marine Corps Installations East, followed by Resident Officer in Charge of Construction, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina; and representative for Assistant Chief of Staff for Capability, Engineering, and Innovation, Supreme Allied Commander Transformation Representative in Europe, North Atlantic Treaty Organization Headquarters, Brussels, Belgium.

Dasher is a registered Professional Engineer, a member of the Acquisition Professional Community, a Certified Energy Manager, and qualified as a Seabee Combat Warfare Specialist. His awards include a Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, a Joint Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals (six awards), and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals (three awards).
