What is a Restoration Advisory Board?
A Restoration Advisory Board (RAB) is a stakeholder group that meets on a regular basis to discuss environmental restoration at a specific property that is either currently or formerly owned by the Department of Defense, but where the DoD has the responsibility to oversee the environmental restoration process.
What is Environmental Restoration?
Environmental restoration includes all environmental investigations and or cleanup that fall under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation & Liability Act (CERCLA) regulatory framework. This also includes the Military Munitionns Response Program and all State-regulated Petroleum cleanups.

The most recent RAB was held on April 10, 2019. General RAB information and presentations from this RAB are posted below.
The Next RAB - Is scheduled for Wednesday, October 23, 2019, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the NAS Whidbey Island Chiefs' Club Ballroom, located at 1080 West Ault Field Road, Oak Harbor.
Interested community members are invited to attend. Topics which will be discussed include the State Petroleum Cleanup Program, Military Munitions Response Program and the CERCLA Program (including work at the Area 6 landfill and the drinking water PFAS investigation).
