PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM –Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Pacific shared progress today on efforts to achieve the Navy’s renewable energy goals. NAVFAC Pacific’s Renewable Energy Program Office (REPO) was established in July 2014 as a means to dedicate people and resources to meet the Navy’s aggressive renewable energy goals in the region.
PEARL HARBOR – October is Energy Awareness Month and Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) has two energy related trainings planned for the month. NAVFAC Pacific is conducting an Energy Program Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) WebEx Training Course Oct. 15 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. to educate employees on the energy program with a focus on energy execution vehicles.
PEARL HARBOR – Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Pacific is conducting a lighting retrofit project from March to May 2013 to reduce energy consumption on the Makalapa Compound. “NAVFAC Pacific is proactive about reducing energy consumption,” said Edie Evans, NAVFAC Pacific Operations Energy Program manager. “We are one of four commands in the Region that maintains 100 percent trained Building Energy Monitors and conducts monthly energy audits. This effort has paid off for NAVFAC Pacific as our buildings are currently exceeding Commander Navy Region Hawaii’s energy reduction goals.”
