NAPLES, Italy (NNS) -- Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Europe Africa Southwest Asia (EURAFSWA) named its 2014 Sea Sailor of the Year and Shore Sailor of the Year, Nov. 24.

"We Seabees aren't trained in the nuances of NAVFAC business lines, yet these two Sailors represent the tenacity of all of us enlisted who strive to learn the very complicated business of being NAVFAC," said NAVFAC EURAFSWA Command Master Chief Jamye Rainwater. "I am truly impressed by their enthusiasm and commitment to the job and command. In addition, they have stayed on top of Navy sailorization evolutions and policies affecting their Sailors and ensuring their success, ... Amazing accomplishment."

Graybill is the leading petty officer for PWD Naples managing the administration of approximately 45 military personnel with collateral duties including command Personnel Administrative Support System (PASS) coordinator, educational services officer, command leave administrator and training petty officer.

He is also the assistant requirements branch head, preventive maintenance coordinator, lead plan and estimator, and technical evaluator.

"Petty Officer Braziel is an exceptionally impressive first class petty officer and he has established himself at PWD Bahrain as a top performer," said Chief Builder Jerome Simms, PWD Bahrain's senior enlisted leader and Assistant Production Division director. "I have personally witnessed the outstanding leadership and strategic foresight that CE1 possess. His work ethic, professionalism and determination make him an inspiring leader and role model for all his peers and subordinates to emulate. Additionally, his strong belief of Navy policies and regulations reinforces his commitment to the Navy's Core Values."
