NAPLES, Italy (NNS) -- Naval Facilities Engineering Command Europe Africa Southwest Asia (NAVFAC EURAFSWA) awarded an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity multiple award design-build construction contract for $48 million Sept. 18 for work to be performed in NAVFAC EURAFSWA area of responsibility.
The firms awarded this contract are Consorzio Stabile GMG S.C.AR.L., Catania, Italy; Consorzio Stabile Appalti Pubblici, Naples, Italy; Elecnor, S.A., Madrid, Spain; Maruf Sharif Construction Co., Dubai, United Arab Emirates; and The Marshall Group LLC, Boulder, Colorado.
The work to be performed provides for general building type projects including but not limited to new construction, renovations, alterations, demolition, repair work, and any necessary design, waterfront, pier, quay, industrial, airfield, aircraft hangar, infrastructure, administrative, training, retail, food service, dormitory, community support facilities and both vertical and horizontal construction.
The majority of the work will be performed in Bahrain and United Arab Emirates.
September 2019 is the scheduled completion date for all of the work. This contract was competitively procured via the Federal Business Opportunities website with 31 proposals received.
These five contractors may compete for task orders under the terms and conditions of the awarded contract. No task orders are being issued at this time.
