JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (NNS) -- Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southeast awarded a $30 million indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity architect-engineering contract in Pensacola April 25 to Bullock Tice Associates for professional architectural and engineering services in the NAVFAC Southeast area of responsibility.
The work to be performed provides for preparation of design/build request for proposals and other design services.
The first task order is being awarded at $222,145 to prepare full plans and specifications to renovate Building 750 - the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and the Commander Navy Recruiting Command and Navy Standard Integrated Personnel System Facility, and Building 454 - Bachelor Housing at Naval Support Activity (NSA) Mid-South, Millington, Tennessee.
"These projects will address aging infrastructure issues at our Installation," said Lt. Cmdr. Seth McGuire, the public works officer at NSA Mid-South. "They will have a lasting positive impact on the quality of life to base personnel and residents."
The task order also contains one unexercised option, which if exercised would increase the cumulative value of the task order to $380,365.
Work for the first task order is expected to be completed by September 2017. All work on the contract will be performed at various Navy and Marine Corps installations in the NAVFAC Southeast area of responsibility. The term of the contract will not exceed five years and is expected to be completed by April 2022.
