SAN DIEGO (NNS) -- Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Southwest Contract Specialist Jennifer Reece received a command coin from NAVFAC Southwest Commanding Officer Capt. John J. Adametz during a June 5 presentation in San Diego.

Reese was recognized for her work as the Public Works Acquisition Core acting supervisory contract specialist during the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2016.

"Her contractual technical skills are phenomenal and her contribution to the success of NAVFAC Southwest is unsurpassed," said Renae Kvendru, NAVFAC Southwest Acquisition Leader.

While serving as the Public Works Acquisition Core acting supervisory contract specialist, she managed team workload, priorities and Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM). Reese coached team members on high visible contract actions such as the Base Operation and Support (BOS) consolidation work with Public Works technical team partners to prevent service gaps for critical follow-on services.

She is currently administering the difficult, high visible electric vehicles contract. Reese was also recently accepted into the 2017 NAVFAC Leadership Development Program (LDP).
