SAN DIEGO (NNS) -- Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Southwest awarded a $99 million multiple award construction contract (MACC), Sept. 8, for demolition projects at various locations within NAVFAC Southwest's area of responsibility.
"The demolition MACC will fill a growing need for the clients and ease the strain on other MAC contracts to perform this type of work," said Tony Lopez, NAVFAC Southwest project manager.
Cherry Creek Recycling LLC of Parker, Colorado; Valor Constructors and Orion of Vista, California; C.I. Contractors Inc. of Anchorage, Alaska; Heffler Contracting Group of El Cajon, California; Hal Hays Construction Inc. of Riverside, California; and Sea Pac Engineering Inc. of Los Angeles were the selected awardees of the construction contract. Cherry Creek Recycling LLC was awarded a $180,000 contract to demolish two buildings at Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow.
