The NAVFAC expeditionary program provides critical support to the nation’s servicemen and women defending our freedom. The expeditionary products and services are delivered to the Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC), Naval Beach Groups and similar Navy expeditionary units ashore in three key areas:
- Development and modification of Tables of Allowance (TOA), which is the list of systems, equipment and material authorized for an expeditionary unit to conduct its assigned mission,
- Initial outfitting and life-cycle management of the systems, equipment and material authorized in the TOAs in accordance with DoD systems acquisition guidance, and
- Coordination of Navy Expeditionary Combat Enterprise operations to include monthly reporting, hosting Board of Directors and Executive Committee meetings, maintaining a collaborative integrated data environment, and leading resolution of cross-SYSCOM issues.
To provide this support, NAVFAC balances the many factors influencing cost, schedule and performance; interprets and tailors the DoD 5000 Series regulations; and ensures high-quality, affordable, supportable and effective systems are delivered to the warfighter as quickly as possible. These activities are executed in coordination with the resource sponsors, operators and other Systems Commands, and are managed by the NAVFAC Expeditionary Programs Office (NEPO) with the support of the Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (EXWC).
