Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Northwest awarded Manson Construction Co. of Seattle, Washington, DOD Marine Constructors, Joint Venture, of Napa California, Triton Marine Construction Corp. of Bremerton, Washington, Michels Construction, Inc. of Brownsville, Wisconsin, Orion Government Services LLC of Federal Way, Washington, Kiewit Infrastructure West Co. of Vancouver, Washington, Contrack Watts, Inc. of McLean, Virginia, SLSCO, LTD. of Galveston, Texas, and Ballard Marine Construction, LLC of Washougal, Washington, a $700 million combined-maximum-value indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity multiple-award construction contract (MACC) for new construction, renovation, alteration, demolition, and repair work for marine piers and facilities at various locations July 30.
Work will be performed at various locations within the NAVFAC Northwest area of responsibility. It is anticipated that most of the work will occur in Washington State.
"This significant contract award is a critical step in modernizing our Pacific Northwest infrastructure to directly support the warfighter," said Capt. Preston Taylor, NAVFAC Northwest commanding officer. "This MACC adds to our acquisition tools and enables the Navy enterprise to take a programmatic approach to waterfront recapitalization. By upgrading our marine piers and operational facilities, we ensure our naval forces have the robust, state-of-the-art platforms they need to maintain maritime superiority, enhance fleet readiness, and execute their missions effectively."
