BUSINESS (BD)

NAVFAC Headquarters (HQ) BD is led by the Command Management Officer. BD is the commander’s strategist and business advisor, accelerating organizational effectiveness and mission readiness through strategic thinking, robust business analytics, and effective integration of resource management and business processes. BD includes all human capital programs, civilian and military, led and integrated by a Total Force Director tasked with the mission to determine staffing requirements, hire the most qualified personnel possible to support the requirement, and continually develop the capabilities of our military and civilian workforce. BD focuses on integration of the command’s structure, strategy, and governance, processes, future requirements, budget allocation, and strategic direction to achieve internal efficiency and effectiveness.
