NAVFAC Real Estate 

The Real Estate (RE) Division is responsible for the acquisition, management, and disposal of real estate interests required by the Navy and Marine Corps. RE leverages its unique execution authorities awarded by the Secretary of the Navy Instruction (SECNAVINST 11011.47D) to provide the infrastructure the Navy and Marine Corps need outside of the traditional military construction appropriation process. Real Estate’s job is to acquire the correct real estate rights that match customer requirements and effectively and efficiently manage those rights.

• Maximizing Return on Investment: Out-leasing underutilized land and facilities to public and private organizations, driving economic growth while enhancing service members' quality of life.
• Mission-Critical Acquisition: Procuring strategically important land and facilities to bolster warfighter readiness and operational resiliency.
• Streamlined Asset Optimization: Disposing of excess land and facilities no longer aligned with the Department of Navy’s (DON’s) mission to ensure efficient resource utilization and cost savings.
• Strengthening the Shore Establishment: NAVFAC RE underpins the Navy and Marine Corps' operational resiliency by optimizing the infrastructure foundation of the Shore Establishment
