OPERATIONS (OPS)

NAVFAC HQ OPS is led by the Deputy Commander for Operations. There are two primary missions within OPS at each echelon: 

  • Performance assessment and integration of NAVFAC operations and execution; and 

  • Managing Supported Command portfolios aligned to Type Commanders (TYCOM) and U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) across the range of capabilities delivered by NAVFAC.

Details include:

  • Performance Assessment: Continuously review performance across the range of capabilities provided by NAVFAC. At echelons 3 and 4, the Operations Officer leads the delivery of products and services across all of the Directorates and Divisions of the command. Operations also coordinates the activities of the Public Works Departments, Facilities Engineering Acquisitions Divisions, Resident OICCs, and OICCs within their AO. 

  • Portfolio Management - Interface with Supported Commanders to establish requirements and priorities, and ensure internal NAVFAC alignment to them. Align portfolios around the Navy TYCOMs/Navy warfighting capabilities, Program Executive Office Industrial Infrastructure, USMC, and other major Supported Commands.
