JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (NNS) -- Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Southeast awarded a task order, totaling over $17 million, Aug. 30 to Whitesell-Green, Inc., a small business, out of Pensacola for renovations to Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE) Building 101 aboard Naval Air Station (NAS) Jacksonville.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (NNS) -- In support of a critical effort to protect threatened and endangered species of sea turtles, team members from Naval Station (NS) Mayport’s sea turtle patrol gathered at the east end of the base’s beach to evaluate a sea turtle nest on August 20.

NORFOLK (NNS) -- Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Atlantic awarded a $7,533,743 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for base operations support services at U.S. Naval Air Station Sigonella and its outlying support sites in Sigonella, Niscemi and Augusta Bay to Valiant/ALCA JV LLC, Hopkinsville, Kentucky.

Jacksonville, Florida (NNS) -- Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Southeast will participate in the Tri-Base Job Fair, presented by the Fleet and Family Support Centers (FFSC) from Naval Station (NS) Mayport, Naval Air Station (NAS) Jacksonville and Naval Submarine Base (NSB) Kings Bay on Wednesday, Sept. 5 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Morocco Shrine Center in Jacksonville, Florida.

Jacksonville, Florida (NNS) -- Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Southeast awarded a task order, totaling over $22 million, Aug. 23 to Environmental Chemical Corporation of Burlingame, California to repair Navy and Marine Corps facilities that were damaged in Key West when Hurricane Irma made landfall in September 2017.
