About the Restoration Advisory Board (RAB)
MCAS Cherry Point has taken a proactive approach to site cleanup by reaching out to the local community through the Restoration Advisory Board (RAB). A Technical Review Committee was initially established at MCAS Cherry Point in 1988. In June 1995, the MCAS Cherry Point Technical Review Committee began the transition to a RAB. Six new community members were added to the group and the first RAB meeting was held in January 1996. RAB community members reflect the diverse interests within the local community and should live or work in the affected community or be directly affected by the ER Program. The MCAS Cherry Point RAB meets periodically when new information is available or as needed to keep members informed about the current progress of the cleanup program.
