Environmental Restoration Program Sites
As discussed in the Joint Expeditionary Base (JEB) Little Creek Environmental Restoration Program (ERP) Site Management Plan (SMP), there are no remaining sites under investigation in the ERP at JEB Little Creek. Sites with a Record of Decision (ROD) and remedy-in-place include Sites 7, 9, 10, 11, 11a, 12, 13, and Solid Waste Management Unit (SWMU) 3. Response is complete with a ROD for Site 8, SWMU 7a, SWMU 7b, and SWMU 8. Following desktop audits, Site Investigations, and/or removal actions, 129 sites, SWMUs, and Areas of Concern (AOCs) were identified for no further action (NFA) by the JEB Little Creek ERP Partnering Team without a ROD. Land use at these 129 sites is unrestricted. Currently, there are no sites or AOCs proposed for a screening assessment. If a potential Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act of 1980 (CERCLA) release is discovered, documentation will be provided in subsequent SMP updates.
