Walter Reed National Medical Military Center:

"The Walter Reed project continues to be recognized by construction organizations, such as the Alliant Build America Merit Award in the Design-Build category given just days ago by the Associated General Contractors of America, and it's easy to see why.  It was a feat, not only in the design-build team delivering a monster of a facility six weeks early, but doing so through the successful collaboration of all team members.  In addition, the hospital earned LEED Gold status, and after its completion in September 2011 was named "Project of the Year" by the United States Green Building Council National Capital Region Chapter" - Lessons from Walter Reed - March 21, 2012: Healthcare Design Magazine.

Bremerton Hospital:

The Bremerton Hospital received Honor Awards which were presented 18 November 2002 at AIA Seattle [NL] 2002 Honor Awards [NL] for Washington Architecture. This award was mentioned in "AIA" and "Modern Healthcare".
AIA 2002 Awards Seattle Jury Comments: "The addition to the existing structure brings new scale and humanity to the serious function of this facility. Here we see a large program activated by the effective mixture of space uses, with clarity of plan unusual for a hospital of this size and complexity. The texture and scale of detail makes for a lively and light experience, pleasant and conducive to the health of those who visit and work here. We especially admire the adjacency of clinical spaces to the outside, and the concern for healing that brings these together. A positive note too for the non-cloying application of nautical motifs."
