Medical Facilities Program Office - Services

• Participate in Planning and Programming of Medical Treatment Facilities

• Serve on A/E Slate and Select Boards

• Assist FEC in preparing SOW, negotiations, etc.

Design: 

• Conduct Pre-design Meeting

• Review all design submittals for compliance with policy and criteria

• Certify to OASD (HA)/DHA that the Schematics, Final Concept design, and Final design are in compliance with UFC 4-510-01.

• Coordinate all review efforts between participants

• Coordinate medical equipment

• Schedule & Budget oversight

Post Design: 

• Provide consultation to ROICC during construction

• Conduct Post-Occupancy Evaluations

• Review all potential change orders relating to Medical criteria

• Budget oversight

Other Support:

• Provide design support, coordination, review of criteria, etc related to Medical Treatment Facilities, such as:

  • Design Manuals

  • Navy Guide plates

  • Medical Equipment review

  • MIL-STD-1691

  • UFC 4-510-01 

• Participate on the Tri-Services Board Committee

• Support Bureau of Mediciine and Surgery (BUMED) & Defense Health Agency (DHA) with Leadership briefings and/or meetings

• MTF Resource Management

• Sustainment Restoration & Modernization (SRM) support

• Pre-Life Safety Surveys - The Joint Commission
