SCA Mission Statement
The System Certification Authority (SCA) supports the Navy's broad diving mission through shore facilities. The SCA certifies nearly 100 hyperbaric facilities, including:
- Dive Lockers
- Training Facilities
- Research Facilities
- Medical Treatment Facilities
- Equipment Test Facilities
Certification Objective
As stated in The US Navy Diving & Manned Hyperbaric systems Certification Manual (SS521-AA-MAN-010) the certification objective is to "establish maximum reasonable assurance of the recovery of diving system personnel without injury and avoid conditions that adversely affect the safety of operating personnel."
