Paul A. Pollock

Mr. Pollock is the Executive Director for the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC). He serves as the senior civilian advisor to the NAVFAC Commander, providing over $16 billion dollars annually of construction, engineering and contracting expertise to deliver shore infrastructure, ocean facilities and equipment engineering, and expeditionary engineering logistics to enable the joint force and ensure lethality across all warfighting domains.

Appointed to the Senior Executive Service in 2015, Mr. Pollock most recently served as NAVFAC’s Chief Management Officer, responsible for corporate strategy, analytics, resources management, human capital, manpower, and military and reserve programs for NAVFAC’s 14 component commands and over 18,000 employees worldwide.

Prior to his appointment to the Senior Executive Service, Mr. Pollock was the Comptroller for NAVFAC in the Pacific Rim, leading the governance of more than $3.1 billion of appropriated and working capital funds annually to execute planning, design, construction, environmental management, and public works to Navy and Marine Corps installations extending from Hawaii to Japan, Thailand, Diego Garcia, Singapore, Korea, and Guam. From 2008 to 2010, Mr. Pollock served as NAVFAC Pacific’s Deputy Commander for Operations and was responsible for the integration of execution and response for NAVFAC’s support to Pacific Fleet and Marine Corps forces in the INDOPACOM theater.

Prior to joining NAVFAC Pacific, Mr. Pollock was the Chief Engineer and Capital Improvements Director for NAVFAC’s Facilities Engineering Command in Hawaii. In this capacity, he led the design and technical oversight of military construction projects for Navy and Marine Corps installations in the State of Hawaii.

Before entering federal service, Mr. Pollock was an architect in the private sector, enacting facility design and construction for infrastructure projects supporting the Department of War and NASA, as well as commercial, education, and healthcare sectors.

Mr. Pollock earned a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and is a licensed professional architect in the state of Hawaii. He is a Pacific Century Fellow and has received the Navy Superior Civilian Service Medal and two Navy Meritorious Civilian Service Medals.
