In this Independent Study, you’ll master strategic thinking techniques to help you navigate your career and accelerate the NAVFAC mission. In Module 1, you’ll delve into the strategic thinking part including analyzing the projects, communication with the team, handling objections and obstacles, and planning and managing the projects. The participants will then apply this learning delivering a key message for the current strategy. In Module 2, you’ll learn what is strategic planning and how it differs from strategic thinking, and why it is important. It includes examples from NAVFAC, as well as structure to use for/improve strategic planning through the use of Strategic Alignment Matrix. And, in Module 3, you’ll learn to communicate a strategic vision via the storytelling approach.
Typically, this program takes 6-weeks to complete. However, since it is structured as an independent study program, you can complete its activities and assignments in your own time and at your convenience. You are encouraged (though not obligated) to complete the program within the 6-week timeframe.
