CAMARILLO, Calif. (NNS) -- Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (EXWC) is hosting its first Industry Day at the Ventura County Community Foundation.
This event will focus on technologies that utilize autonomous or unmanned systems.
In an effort to bridge the gap between small businesses vying for government agency contracts, Industry Day promotes partnership opportunities. This daylong event is a key opportunity for small businesses to overcome the changing needs of government clients by directly accessing industry leaders whilst helping to better navigate the federal technology transfer process—a process created for inventions being transferred from federal government labs or entities to the commercial market.
This federal technology transfer is key to improving the efficiency and efficacy of commercialization activities.
The event kick-off will be led by Bruce Stenslie, President & CEO of the Economic Development Collaborative Ventura County, followed by remarks from EXWC Commanding Officer, Captain Michael Saum and EXWC Technical Director Mr. Kail Macias, who will elaborate on the strategic vision of the Navy’s future.
