NAVFAC Washington Awards Contract for National Capital Region Construction

WASHINGTON - Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Washington awarded a combined $750,000,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, multiple award construction contract to ARS Aleut Construction LLC, Port Allen, La., Doyon Management Services LLC, Lanham, Md., Kunj Construction Corp., Mechanicsville, Md., McKenzie Construction and Site Development LLC, Wesley Chapel, Fla., XL Construction, Laurel, Md., Westerly HSU JV II LLC, Gaithersburg, Md., for construction projects located primarily within the NAVFAC Washington area of operations.

WASHINGTON - Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Washington awarded a combined $750,000,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, multiple award construction contract to ARS Aleut Construction LLC, Port Allen, La., Doyon Management Services LLC, Lanham, Md., Kunj Construction Corp., Mechanicsville, Md., McKenzie Construction and Site Development LLC, Wesley Chapel, Fla., XL Construction, Laurel, Md., Westerly HSU JV II LLC, Gaithersburg, Md., for construction projects located primarily within the NAVFAC Washington area of operations.

The work to be performed includes general construction and related services. The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, engineering, materials, equipment, tools, parts, supplies and transportation to perform all work described in the specifications.

Kunj Construction Corp., is being awarded the initial task order at $1,249,107 to renovate Building 57 Bathrooms 1F and 2F, Naval Research Laboratory, Washington, District of Columbia (D.C.). Work for this task order is expected to be completed by October 2023. Future task orders will be primarily funded by military construction (Navy); operation and maintenance (O&M) (Navy); O&M (Defense Logistics Agency); and Working Capital Fund (Navy).

The contract was awarded on Sept. 30, 2022. All work on this contract will be performed in D.C. (40%), Virginia (40%) and Maryland (20%). The term of the contract is not to exceed 96 months, with an expected completion date of September 2030.
