WASHINGTON NAVY YARD - Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Washington awarded a $23,718,772 firm-fixed-price contract to Greenland Enterprises, Inc., a service-disabled veteran-owned small business headquartered in Newport News, Virginia, for boiler steam system replacement at Naval Support Facility Indian Head, Maryland, September 18.
The work to be performed provides for, but is not limited to, partial rehabilitation of the steam system through replacement of the Steam B Plant. Rehabilitation includes full demolition and replacement of the Steam B building and its ancillary equipment and support components that are in poor condition, and the provision of improved site conditions for drainage and operational efficiency.
All work will be performed in Indian Head, Maryland and is expected to be completed by July 2026.
