Paul A. Pollock

Mr. Pollock was appointed to the Senior Executive Service in December 2015 and serves as NAVFAC’s senior civilian authority for human resources, EEO, manpower, military and reserve programs, corporate strategy, and corporate resources management for NAVFAC’s 14 component commands and over 18,000 employees worldwide.

 

Prior to his appointment, Mr. Pollock was the Comptroller for NAVFAC resources in the Pacific Rim, leading governance of appropriated and Navy Working Capital funds in excess of 2.6 billion dollars per year covering over 4,000 employees performing master planning, design, construction, environmental management, and public works support to Navy and Marine Corps installations extending from Hawaii to Japan, Thailand, Diego Garcia, Singapore, Korea, and Guam.

 

From 2008 to 2010 Mr. Pollock served as NAVFAC Pacific’s Deputy Commander for Operations and was responsible for the integration of execution and response for NAVFAC’s support to Pacific Fleet and Marine Corps forces in the Pacific Rim.

 

Prior to his time at NAVFAC Pacific, Mr. Pollock served as the Chief Engineer and Capital Improvements Business Line Coordinator for NAVFAC’s Facilities Engineering Systems Command in Hawaii.  In this capacity he provided technical and administrative oversight for 180 million dollars of facilities design and over 250 million dollars of construction in place annually for Navy and Marine Corps installations in the State of Hawaii.

 

Before joining federal service, Mr. Pollock was a practicing architect in the private sector, with significant facility design and construction experience on projects for the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, NASA, and the commercial, education, and healthcare sectors.
 

Mr. Pollock received a Bachelor’s of Architecture from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and is a licensed professional architect in the state of Hawaii. He is a Pacific Century Fellow, and a member of the Society of American Military Engineers and the American Institute of Architects.  He has received the Navy Superior Civilian Service Medal and two Navy Meritorious Civilian Service Medals.  He was past selected as the NAVFAC Pacific Ocean Area Engineer-Architect of the Year and Mentor of the Year.
