Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Atlantic demonstrated its commitment to environmental stewardship during a local Clean the Bay Day event at the Lafayette River Annex. Volunteers collected 850 pounds of litter and debris, significantly contributing to the preservation of the Chesapeake Bay watershed. The participants removed various items, including treated wood and plastic, showcasing their dedication to protecting the local environment despite muggy weather and overgrowth.
